Acadia's classic CCC-built campground in deep spruce forest, a 10-minute walk from the ocean near Cadillac Mountain.

Shade reality: Dense spruce-fir and mixed coastal Maine woods — nearly every site is heavily shaded under tall conifers.

Season: Open May 3 – Oct 21 in 2026; 2027 dates not announced yet. No winter camping; the last bookable night on Recreation.gov in 2026 is Oct 18. Official page ↗
